![]() So you could possibly use it with those different phone apps with amp simulators & fx since they're expecting something to be plugged into the headphone jack like the iRig cable. The "breakaway plug" uses a headphone jack & plug instead of the keyed shape that the Real Tone Cable uses. I also used a SM58 Shure to test, so I was using a great Mic. At best its a comprimise and as good as its going to get and not 100 accurate. I have tried the microphone mode with my acoustic. There's a couple of differences between it and the stock cable. If you go to 'Quick Settings' on the PS4, there's a setting for "Mute ALL Microphones", which I had set to 'On' at some point while playing GTA Online. ![]() At some point, I turned a setting on my PS4 to on and forgot about it. WOOHOOO! And it won't cost me a dime in the end. I used it with my laptop a couple of times when I tried messing with amp Sims and DAWs like Reaper. Possibilities to fix issues with real tone cable not being recognized by Rocksmith 2014 on mac. ![]()
